Electric Utility Industry Specialist.


Locusview is looking for an Electric Utility Industry Specialist to support our growth and penetration into the electric utility market and help take us to the next level. In this role the Electric Utility Industry Specialist will leverage their experience in electric distribution utility construction operations to develop product needs and value proposition for strategic growth in the electric utility market. They will work closely with the Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Account Management teams throughout many facets of the business including the sales process, new market development, marketing and messaging, gathering client feedback, and defining product requirements.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Sales/Business Development/Marketing

  1. Participate in development of messaging and positioning material
  2. Evangelize Locusview solutions in the market with public speaking, industry association membership, white papers, etc.
  3. Participate in sales cycle assisting with pre-sales strategy, presentations and demonstrations
  4. Contribute to market analysis and Sales/BD strategy development
  5. Work with sales executives and sales engineering to grow pipeline and close new business


  1. Help define product requirements for electric utility digital construction
  2. Work with the Sales/BD team to prioritize product development requirements


  • 5+ years experience in electric utility distribution construction operations

Experience with the Design>Construction>Close-Out workflow including:

  1. Project planning, scheduling, and assignment
  2. Field construction execution
  3. Management or supervision of construction and field operations (contractor management a plus)
  4. As-builting and project close-out

Working knowledge:

  1. Contractor workflows and management (bidding, contracting, invoicing)
  2. Design engineering
  3. Budgeting
  4. Work management and contractor resource management

  • Familiarity with the utility IT technology stack supporting the Design>Construction>Close-Out workflow including GWD, WMS, MWFM, GIS, EAM
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, creative thinker with an appreciation of corporate goals
  • Articulate, confident, self-aware, and personable character
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Willingness for up to ~50% travel (post-COVID)
