Our platform leverages mobile, web, and hardware technologies to create guided workflows in the field and back offices to optimize safety and efficiency at all stages of long-cycle work from planning to execution and close-out.

We're seeking a highly motivated Instructional Designer to support our customer’s training needs. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and developing training materials focused on our Digital Construction Management Platform and the utility industry best practices. This role will create ILT & VILT training materials supporting our Training delivery team and manage and develop e-learning content for our LMS platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and/or re-design content for e-learning, web-based, and/or instructor-led classes
  • Develop learning deliverables in various engaging formats (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Apply your knowledge of instructional design theory to design course content while working with product managers and subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to understand strategies and develop training content.
  • Apply your knowledge of instructional design theory to design course content while working with product managers and subject matter experts
  • Host and present in internal & external meetings

Requirements

  • Ability to write effectively and communicate complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Camtasia, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other eLearning programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience in training or development
  • Some learning design or graphic design experience
  • BA in Communications, Education, or related field; and/or relevant training certifications
  • Strong time management, teamwork, collaboration, and prioritization skills
  • Local to the Greater Chicago Area & open to working according to a hybrid model

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) on projects
  • Prior experience in consulting-based instructional design or eLearning development 
  • Stakeholder management and project management experience
