Locusview Presentation: Digitalizing the Grid
This year Locusview addressed the critical need for modernizing the as-built process to enhance ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems) and grid modernization efforts. Traditionally, utilities have relied on manual and paper-based methods to document as-built information from the field, which often resulted in inaccuracies and inefficiencies. With the increasing investment in ADMS and other sophisticated engineering analysis tools aimed at boosting reliability and accommodating Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), the need for precise, real-time asset data has never been more paramount. Such data integrity is crucial for utilities to maximize the benefits and return on investment from their modernization initiatives. Locusview's Digital Construction Management platform stands at the forefront of this transformation, offering a solution that enables the quick collection and integration of asset data into a utility's existing records systems, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Work and Asset Management systems, operational and financial systems, among others.
